About
Me

Hi, I'm Juliann, an alumni of the Apparel Merchandising, Design, and Textiles program at Washington State University. I have had many experiences that have shaped who I am, both as a person and as a designer.

From July 2023 to September 2024 I worked with the Regional Theatre of the Palouse in Pullman, WA. I started as the Costume Design Intern for two productions, and advanced to the Assistant Costume Designer for three more. At RTOP, I enhanced my knowledge of historic costume through research and application, putting together costumes and creating patterns and garments.

Between fall 2022 and spring 2023, I created my senior collection, Morendo. It was inspired by my time in the WSU Cougar Marching Band, as well as by Victorian styles. Comprised of four color guard uniforms with interchangeable pieces, as well as a digitally designed flag. It won the most innovative collection award at the 40th Annual WSU Spring Fashion Show on March 31, 2023.

In 2017, I had the opportunity to study abroad at Heriot-Watt University in Galashiels, Scotland, and learned valuable skills, including tailoring, patternmaking, and how to sew on industrial machinery.
